During your stay at AMAZON NATIVE LODGE. You will be able to discover and interact with different landscapes of our Amazon. We are located in a primary (virgin) jungle with an abundance of flora and fauna and wonderful lakes. Something that makes us different: We are your perfect refuge in nature.
ITINERARIO
DAY 01: CITY TOURS, TRANSFER TO THE LODGE, VISIT YAHUA INDIGENOUS GROUP, JUNGLE RAID.
° Guest pickup from the hotel and a brief tour of the city of Iquitos showing the historical sites that were built during the rubber boom in the 15th century.
° Visit the longest bridge in Iquitos over the Nanay River and enjoy the panoramic view with the union of the two rivers.
° After the city tour, we will proceed to our boarding to sail and visit one of the famous places called Venice of Bethlehem to see how people live in houseboats. After visiting Belén, we will continue sailing for approximately 45 minutes by speedboat along the Amazon River.
° Once we arrive, we will walk 25 minutes (only in summer) through the jungle to reach our lodge. Upon arrival you will be greeted by our friendly staff with our typical traditional welcome drinks made with our local natural fruits.
° You will be directed to your respective accommodations and guided by a professional tour guide who will help you familiarize yourself with our area.
° Lunch is served at 12:00pm
° After lunch, we will visit one of the most famous attraction places called "Serpentarium", where you will see many types of exotic animals such as: the sloth, toucans, monkeys, macaws, and the turtle (prehistoric) as well as the most famous constrictor snake called Anaconda, which you can hold and carry on your shoulder.
° Visit to the Artisanal mill where you will taste the best exotic, aphrodisiac and typical drinks of our Amazon. ° Dinner is served at 7 pm.
° After dinner, we will take a short night walk to look for nocturnal animals and alligators or cayman in the lake. Tarantulas, frogs and the largest hualo toad in our Amazon and other insects, etc.
DAY 02: A DAY IN THE JUNGLE.
° Breakfast, we have the full day in the jungle, where we will learn about the flora and fauna and wild animals in their natural habitat. We will visit one of the most beautiful prehistoric birds and considered an endangered species called the HOATZIN bird (SHANSHO). You will also learn about BOTANICS and different medicinal plants of the jungle and how to survive in the Amazon world.
° Visit the giant trees of our Amazon such as the LUPUNA or CEIBA.
° We will also visit one of the giant trees of our Amazon known as the house of the ANACONDAS (the Renaco Tree), constrictor and medicinal tree of our Amazon, have fun hanging and swinging between its ropes (leans) or branches, feel like Tarzan and Jane in Jungle.
° Visit the YANAYACU RIVER (black waters) for the vegetation of marine life and bathe and enjoy its cold waters will be another experience that you will never forget.
° Lunch will be served at 12:00 pm ° After lunch, we headed to visit one of the most interesting and exotic places called Monkey Islands. On that island, you will find different species of monkeys that will make you feel like you are in a Tarzan and Jane movie. You will have the opportunity to handle and carry baby monkeys which will leave you with great memories.
° Dinner will be served at 7:00 pm.
DAY 03: TRIP TO INDIANA AND MAZAN
° After breakfast, we will have a full-day visit to two interesting places that were the gateway of the Spanish conquistadors from where they came through our Amazon in search of Canela and Dorado by Mr. Francisco De Orellana and Gonzalo Pizarro. The two small towns are Indiana and Mazan, where you will experience that you are part of the conqueror who will leave you with a memorable trip.
DAY 04: HAVE FUN FISHING FOR PIRANHAS.
° After breakfast, we will have an entertaining excursion fishing for different varieties of fish, including the famous piranhas (don't let the piranhas catch you, instead catch one and have it for lunch).
° Try to catch different species from the Amazon River such as catfish and goldfish.
