During your stay at AMAZON NATIVE LODGE. You will be able to discover and interact with different landscapes of our Amazon. We are located in a primary (virgin) jungle with an abundance of flora and fauna and wonderful lakes. Something that makes us different: We are your perfect refuge in nature.
ITINERARIO
DAY 01: CITY TOUR , TRANSFER TO THE LODGE, YAHUAS TRIBE VISIT, JUNGLE RAID.
° Guest pickup from the hotel and a brief tour of the city of Iquitos showing the historical sites that were built during the rubber boom in the 15th century.
° Visit the indigenous museum of our Amazon, where you will learn more about our Amazonian culture and tradition.
° Visit the longest bridge in Iquitos over the Nanay River and enjoy the panoramic view with the union of the two rivers Amazonas and Nanay.
° After the city tour, we proceed to our boarding to sail and visit one of the famous places called Venice of Bethlehem to see how people live in houseboats. we will sail 45 km downstream of the Amazon for approximately 40 minutes.
° Once we arrive, we will walk 25 minutes through the jungle to reach our lodge, (the walks are during the summer). Upon arrival you will be greeted by our friendly staff with our typical traditional welcome drinks made with our local natural fruits. .
° You will be directed to your respective accommodations and guided by a professional tour guide who will help you familiarize yourself with our area.
° Lunch will be served at 12 pm.
° After lunch, our next stop is to visit one of the communities called Santa Victoria. In that town you will meet hospitable people, learn their culture, activities and food production from the people who supply the city of Iquitos.
° Dinner will be served at 7 pm.
° After dinner on the 1st night we will have: Myths and legends about our Amazon, the history of the pink dolphin (Colorado Bufeo) and other stories, etc.
DAY 02:
° At 5 am in the morning, live an unforgettable experience by observing the sunrise in the Amazon jungle and different species of birds in their habitat.
° Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am
CAMPING IN THE JUNGLE.
After breakfast we have the full day plus spending a night in the jungle. Dawn in the jungle like Tarzan or Jane will be an unforgettable experience listening to the song of the birds and the howl of the monkeys where we will learn about flora and fauna and wild animals in their natural habitat. We will visit one of the most beautiful prehistoric birds and considered an endangered species called the HOATZIN bird (SHANSHO). You will also learn about BOTANICS and different medicinal plants of the jungle and how to survive in the Amazon world.
We will also visit one of the giant trees of our Amazon known as the house of the ANACONDAS (the Renaco Tree), a constrictor and medicinal tree of our Amazon.
° Have fun hanging and swinging between its ropes (lianas) or branches, feel the adrenaline of the jungle. ° Visit the King of the trees, best known in our Amazon as the LUPUNA OR CEIBA.
° View of the YANAYACU RIVER (black waters) through the vegetation of marine life and bathe and enjoy its cold waters, it will be another experience that you will never forget.
Night walk where we will look for tarantulas, frogs, giant toads like the HUALO, nocturnal owls and bats and others, etc.
DAY 03: RETURN TO THE LODGE.
° LUNCH WILL BE SERVE 12 PM.
° After lunch we will try to live a wonderful experience swimming with the pink and gray dolphins in the Amazon River.
° Leave the stress and enjoy the Amazonian beaches with therapeutic baths in the mud. Leave a beautiful memory by bathing in the largest and most powerful RIVER in the world like the AMAZON RIVER.
° Dinner will be served 7 pm. °
After dinner, night walk to try to observe the Alligators or Caymans in the Lake and other nocturnal animals, etc.
DAY 04: VIEW OF THE TRIBES
° Breakfast will be served at 7 am
° After breakfast we will visit the two most important indigenous groups YAHUA and BORA in our AMAZON, where we will learn their customs and cultures of the tribes, as well as their dances and the use of the Cerbatana.
° Make them feel that we are part of their family.
° Lunch will be served at 12 pm.
° After lunch we will have a very entertaining and fun excursion fishing different varieties of fish including the famous piranhas (don't let the piranhas catch you, instead catch one and have it for lunch). ° Dinner will be served at 7 pm night of relaxation.
DAY 05: VISIT TO THE VICTORIA REGIA
° Breakfast will be served at 7 am.
° After breakfast, we will visit VICTORIA REGIA AMAZONICA, known as one of the most beautiful plant species in our AMAZON also known as (Alligator sheet ) for our locals peoples.
° Visit the place of butterflies where I will have the opportunity to meet the butterfly ELENA AND THE OWL butterfly, beautiful creatures of our Amazon (butterfly farm) also where we will learn about the process of metamorphosis of butterflies and the lifespan of each of them and his contribution to the environment
° Lunch will be served at 12 pm then 2:30 pm Return to Iquitos.
