During your stay at AMAZON NATIVE LODGE. You will be able to discover and interact with different landscapes of our Amazon. We are located in a primary (virgin) jungle with an abundance of flora and fauna and wonderful lakes. Something that makes us different: We are your perfect refuge in nature.
ITINERARY:
DAY 01: CITY TOURS, TRANSFER TO THE LODGE, VISIT YAHUA INDIGENOUS GROUP, JUNGLE RAID.
° Guest pickup from the hotel and a brief tour of the city of Iquitos showing the historical sites that were built during the rubber boom in the 15th century.
° After the city tour, we will proceed to our boarding. From the port, we will continue sailing for approximately 45 minutes by speedboat along the Amazon River until we reach the port of our hostel.
Once we arrive, we will walk 25 minutes (only in summer) through the jungle to reach our lodge. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff with our typical traditional welcome drinks made with our local natural fruits.
° You will be directed to your respective accommodations and guided by a professional tour guide who will help you familiarize yourself with our area.
° Lunch will be served at 12 noon.
After lunch, we will visit the most important Yahua indigenous group in our Amazon, where we will learn the customs and culture of the tribe, as well as their dances and the use of the Cerbatana.
-Make them feel that we are part of their family.
° Dinner is served at 7 pm.
After dinner, we will go for a walk at night to observe nocturnal animals in the wildlife.
As well as: cayman or alligators in the lake, tarantulas, frogs, and the largest hualo toad in our Amazon and other insects, etc.
DAY 02: DAWN EXPERIENCE, MONKEY ISLANDS, JUNGLE EXCURSION, CANOEING.
° At 5 am, live an unforgettable experience by observing the sunrise in the Amazon jungle and different species of birds in their natural habitat, including the famous and (pre-historic) bird of our Amazon, better known as the SHANSHO. (HOATZIN).
° After breakfast, we head to visit one of the most interesting and exotic places called Monkey Islands. On that island, you will find different species of monkeys that will make you feel like Tarzan and Jane. You will have the opportunity to handle and carry baby monkeys that will leave you with great memories.
° Then we walked to the virgin jungle area to observe the giant trees, including one of the most giant trees in our Amazon, better known as The king of the trees CEIBA or LUPUNA, and RENACO, GIANT trees, and animals in their natural habitat.
° Lunch will be served at 12:00pm noon
° After lunch, our next stop is to visit one of the communities called Santa Victoria.
In that town you will meet hospitable people, you will learn about their culture, activities, and food production from the people who supply the city of Iquitos, and we will learn canoeing in its beautiful lakes that SANTA VICTORIA has. and we will feel like ribereños of our Amazon.
DAY 03: HAVE FUN FISHING PIRANHAS
° Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am
° After breakfast, we will have an entertaining excursion fishing for different varieties of fish, including the famous piranha (don't let the piranhas catch you, instead catch one and have it for lunch).
